Bring your own wine in Dublin: how BYO works at Dada

Wine bottles lit inside Moorish arches at Dada
In short
  • Bring wine, beer or champagne. Corkage is €6 for wine, €2 for beer and €8 for champagne.
  • No spirits, and a minimum of two courses per person when you bring your own.
  • The Corkscrew wine shop is a short walk away if you arrive empty-handed.
  • Lighter reds, aromatic whites and rosé all love Moroccan spices.

One of the nicest things about dinner at Dada is that the wine list is whatever you love. We are a bring your own restaurant, so you can open that bottle you have been saving, or pick up something new on the way. Here is everything you need to know.

  • We ask for a minimum of two courses per person when you bring your own.
  • Groups of eight or more who bring their own order from our Traditional Moroccan Feast Menu.

Arrived without a bottle?

The Corkscrew, one of Dublin's best-known wine shops, is a short walk from our door. Plenty of our guests pick up a bottle on the way in, and the staff there are happy to recommend something for a Moroccan dinner.

What wine goes with Moroccan food?

Moroccan dishes are fragrant, often a little sweet and rarely fiery, which makes them friendly with wine. A few easy rules:

  • Lamb tagines and the slow-roasted lamb shoulder love soft, fruity reds. Think Grenache or Garnacha, a Côtes du Rhône, a young Rioja or a Pinot Noir.
  • Chicken with preserved lemon, and fish tagines suit aromatic whites such as Albariño, dry Riesling or Viognier.
  • Mezze, dips and the pastela are lovely with a dry rosé or a glass of something sparkling.
  • Heat lovers adding harissa should steer away from heavy, oaky reds and towards fresher, fruitier styles.

Not drinking tonight?

Our drinks menu has plenty without alcohol: four Moroccan-inspired mocktails, house lemonades including ginger and pomegranate, 0% wines and Irish craft beers, and of course fresh mint tea. See the full drinks menu.
